Hemerocallis-Daylily 'Night Beacon'

Hemerocallis 'Night Beacon', commonly known as the Night Beacon Daylily, is a perennial plant admired for its striking blooms and reliable performance.

'Night Beacon' features dark reddish-purple flowers with a prominent chartreuse center and green throat. Each bloom measures approximately 4 inches (10 cm) in diameter, and the petals and sepals are elegantly recurved. This daylily is known for its extended bloom period and reblooming capabilities, providing a prolonged display of color during the growing season. 

This daylily is hardy in USDA Zones 3 through 9, making it suitable for a wide range of climates. It prefers average, moist but well-drained soils and is tolerant of heat and summer humidity. Once established, 'Night Beacon' is drought-tolerant and resistant to pests and diseases, adding to its low-maintenance appeal. Its vibrant flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds, enhancing the ecological value of your garden.  

Sun Requirements:

Full sun to partial shade, with optimal flowering occurring in locations that receive at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily. While it can tolerate some shade, full sun exposure promotes the best bloom performance.

27 inches (69 cm) with a spread of 18 to 24 inches (45 to 60 cm), forming a robust, upright clump suitable for various garden settings.  

Bloom Time:

June to July, with the potential for reblooming later in the season, providing an extended display of vibrant color during the growing season.
