Helianthella quinquenervis, commonly known as the Aspen Sunflower, is a perennial wildflower native to the mountain regions of western North America. It features bright yellow, daisy-like flowers with prominent golden central disks that sit atop tall, slender stems. The plant has lance-shaped, veined green leaves, giving it a graceful and airy appearance. Its cheerful blooms and adaptability make it a favorite for naturalistic gardens, meadows, and native plant landscapes.

Helianthella quinquenervis thrives in well-drained soils and adapts to various soil types, including sandy or rocky conditions. It is drought-tolerant once established and requires minimal maintenance, making it ideal for xeriscaping or low-maintenance gardens. The Aspen Sunflower attracts pollinators like bees and butterflies and is resistant to deer and rabbits. Its tall, slender stems and golden blooms pair beautifully with grasses and other wildflowers, such as coneflowers, penstemon, or rudbeckia, for a harmonious, naturalistic planting.
