Fern Athyrium Godzilla

Athyrium 'Godzilla' is a dramatic, oversized Japanese painted fern hybrid prized for its bold presence and striking foliage. Each arching frond displays a blend of silvery-gray, deep green, and burgundy tones, creating a metallic shimmer in shady garden spaces. True to its name, ‘Godzilla’ grows much larger than typical painted ferns, forming a majestic, cascading clump that commands attention.

This deciduous fern thrives in rich, moist, well-drained soil and is perfect for woodland gardens, shade borders, or as a focal point in mixed plantings. It tolerates heavy shade and brings lush texture and color to areas where many plants struggle. Deer-resistant and low-maintenance once established.
