Echinops ritro, commonly known as Small Globe Thistle, is a clump-forming perennial with distinctive spherical, steel-blue flower heads that appear atop sturdy, upright stems. These globular blooms, about 1–2 inches in diameter, are surrounded by spiny, silvery-green foliage, adding texture and architectural interest to the garden.
