Echinacea 'Cheyenne Spirit' is a vibrant and award-winning perennial, offering a mix of bright, cheerful colors on one plant. Flowers range in shades of red, orange, yellow, purple, pink, and white, with prominent cone-shaped centers in orange or bronze. The sturdy, upright stems are adorned with narrow, dark green leaves, making this coneflower a stunning addition to mixed borders or wildflower gardens.
Echinacea 'Cheyenne Spirit' is low-maintenance and drought-tolerant once established, thriving in well-drained, moderately fertile soil. It attracts pollinators such as bees and butterflies and provides seed heads for birds in the fall if left untrimmed. Deadheading spent blooms encourages prolonged flowering, but leaving some flowers to set seed adds winter interest and naturalizes the garden.
Sun Requirements:
Full Sun. Thrives in areas with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily, but can tolerate light shade.
Maximum Growth Height:
18–30 inches (45–75 cm), making it ideal for mid-border plantings or container gardens.
Bloom Month:
June to September. Blooms prolifically from early summer through early fall, with flowers that last well into the season.
