Digitalis × fulva, commonly known as Strawberry Foxglove, is a stunning perennial hybrid, a cross between Digitalis purpurea and Digitalis grandiflora. It features elegant, tall spikes of tubular, strawberry-pink flowers with subtle golden or apricot tones and speckled throats. The lush, dark green, lance-shaped foliage forms a dense basal rosette, providing a striking contrast to the vibrant flower spikes. This foxglove is highly valued for its robustness and long-lasting blooms.

This perennial foxglove is a hardy and reliable choice, thriving in well-drained, moderately fertile soil. It is attractive to pollinators such as bees and hummingbirds, while being resistant to deer and rabbits. Deadheading spent blooms can prolong the flowering season, and it pairs beautifully with other shade-loving perennials or ornamental grasses.

Sun Requirements:

Full Sun to Partial Shade. Grows well in full sun in cooler climates but prefers partial shade in regions with intense heat.

Maximum Growth Height:

36–48 inches (90–120 cm), making it a standout addition to perennial borders and cottage gardens.

Bloom Month:

May to July. Produces blooms in late spring to mid-summer, with flowers appearing sequentially along the spikes for an extended blooming period.
