Digitalis purpurea BeeFoxy F1-Series ‘Foxybee Dark Red’, commonly known as Foxybee Dark Red Foxglove, is a striking herbaceous biennial or short-lived perennial that produces tall spikes of tubular, bell-shaped flowers in rich dark red to deep rose-red tones. The blooms are arranged densely along upright stems above rosettes of soft green, slightly hairy foliage, creating strong vertical interest and dramatic colour in the garden. Blooming in late spring to midsummer, this plant adds height, elegance, and pollinator appeal to borders, cottage gardens, woodland edges, or mixed perennial beds.

Thrives in fertile, well-drained soil with consistent moisture. Avoid planting in heavy, waterlogged conditions or very dry sites. Requires moderate maintenance and performs best with regular watering during dry periods. Deadhead spent flower spikes to encourage a tidier appearance and possible additional blooms, or leave some seed heads if naturalizing is desired. Pairs well with campanula, aquilegia, ferns, hostas, and hardy geraniums for a lush, layered garden display. Attracts bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and other beneficial pollinators. Generally avoided by deer and rabbits. Excellent for cottage-style landscapes, shaded borders, woodland gardens, cutting gardens, or dramatic vertical accents. Digitalis purpurea BeeFoxy F1-Series ‘Foxybee Dark Red’ is a bold and elegant plant that thrives in sunny to partially shaded gardens, adding rich dark red flower spikes and classic cottage garden form. Its compact, floriferous habit, strong colour, and pollinator value make it a valuable choice for mixed perennial plantings and wildlife-friendly landscapes.
