Dianthus pinifolius, commonly known as Pine-Leaved Pink or Pineleaf Garden Pink, is a charming perennial native to the Balkan Peninsula and Turkey. It forms compact, cushion-like mounds of slender, grass-like, evergreen foliage. In late spring to early summer, it produces dense clusters of small, fragrant, crimson-red to rose-purple flowers atop slender stems, attracting butterflies and adding a touch of airy grace to rock gardens or border fronts.

This dianthus variety is hardy in USDA Zones 4 through 8, making it suitable for a wide range of climates. It prefers well-drained, lean to moderately fertile soils and is tolerant of drought once established, adding to its low-maintenance appeal. Its vibrant flowers attract butterflies, enhancing the ecological value of your garden.
