Agastache rugosa 'Golden Jubilee,' commonly known as Korean Mint, is a striking herbaceous perennial known for its vibrant golden-yellow, aromatic foliage and tall spikes of lavender-blue flowers. The foliage retains its bright color throughout the season, creating a stunning contrast with the flowers. This variety is a favorite for pollinator gardens, attracting bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
Agastache rugosa 'Golden Jubilee' thrives in well-drained, moderately fertile soils and is drought-tolerant once established, making it an excellent choice for xeriscaping or low-maintenance gardens. The plant is deer- and rabbit-resistant and highly attractive to pollinators. Deadheading spent flowers encourages prolonged blooming, while cutting the plant back in late fall or early spring promotes fresh growth for the following season. It pairs beautifully with other sun-loving perennials like echinacea, rudbeckia, or ornamental grasses for a dynamic and colorful garden display. The aromatic foliage adds an additional sensory element to the garden.
